This book provides readers with a comprehensive overview of the logistics industry in Vietnam from its humble beginnings to where it has currently progressed in terms of technology. Since Vietnam is a developing nation, this book benefits readers from many other locations around the world in similar conditions such as Vietnam. Chapters in the book look at which technologies are being used today that could benefit other providers not using any of these technologies as well as which technologies could be used in the future to bring the industry up to world-class standards. Four of the most common technologies (data analytics, AI, automation, and internet of things) are discussed and how they are used in various aspects of the industry. The book also provides several case studies to demonstrate the impact of these technologies and thus the benefits of using them.
