This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th Mexican Conference on Pattern Recognition, MCPR 2016, held in Guanajuato, Mexico, in June 2016.
The 34 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 60 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on computer vision and image analysis; pattern recognition and artificial intelligent techniques; signal processing and analysis; and applications of pattern recognition.
