Light is one of the most essential elements for the existence of life on earth. Plants, animals and humans depend on it. It is the strongest and fastest form of energy. Our biorhythm is based on light; it regulates our biochemical and neurological systems, but living in cities generally implies losing track of it. Without light we get depressed and die from lack of vitamins created us as well. Yet some deepsea animals exist without any light at all, in utter darkness. Without light we cannot see or distinguish shapes and colours. Yet we don't necessarily need our eyes to perceive it. So what is it when we see light, how do we see it, and what can it do? And sometimes the light at the end of a tunnel really is a train. "Findings on Light" is an exploration of light featuring the work of more than 50 artists and scientists who shape the way we look at the world.
