Dr. Huaqun Guo is Associate Professor of Singapore Institute of Technology, President of International Researchers Club, and Steering Committee Member for IRC Conference on Science Engineering and Technology (IRC-SET). Dr. Guo obtained her B.Eng and M.Eng from Tianjin University, and her M.Eng and PhD from the National University of Singapore (NUS) respectively. She had worked as Senior Scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR) for more than 16 years. Before joining I2R, she was a senior research staff at NUS and senior engineer at Kent Ridge Digital Labs (KRDL). She has published 80+ referred papers in the international conferences, journals and books. Her research areas include network security, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) security, AI (artificial intelligence) for cyber security, blockchain, applied cryptography, vehicular networks and security, communications, and securityrisk analysis.

Professor Ian McLoughlin spent over 10 years working for the electronics R&D industry and 20 years in academia. He has worked and consulted in 5 countries on three continents and presented his work to government science ministers of UK, Russia, USA, Malaysia, Taiwan, New Zealand and to the President of Singapore. He became a Chartered Engineer (UK) in 1998, a Senior member of IEEE in 2004 a D’Ingenieur Europeen (EU) in 2008 and an IET Fellow in 2013. He has published over 250 refereed papers, four books and several book chapters in the fields of speech & audio, wireless communications and embedded systems. He is currently a Cluster Director in Singapore Institute of Technology.

Dr. Eyasu Getahun Chekole is currently a Research Fellow in Cybersecurity at Singapore University of Technology and Design. Previously, he was a Research Scientist in Cybersecurity at the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore, an Assistant Researcher in Cybersecurity at the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) in Italy, a Software Engineer at Femar Consulting s.r.l in Italy, and a Software Engineer at the Information Network Security Assurance (INSA) in Ethiopia. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Singapore University of Technology and Design (in Singapore), an M.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Trento (in Italy), and a B.Sc. in Computer Science & IT from Arba Minch University (in Ethiopia). His research interests include software and system security, memory safety, industrial control and cyber-physical systems security, IoT security, applied cryptography, and Blockchain.

Dr. Umayal Lakshmanan is a drug discovery scientist at Experimental Drug Development Centre, A*STAR (Agency for Science Technology and Research). She obtained her PhD from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. Her expertise is in Drug discovery projects in the fields of Oncology and Infectious diseases. She was project leader for several drug discovery collaboration projects with local and international Institutes and Universities. She started her career in drug discovery by leading an ASTAR-BMRC-DSTA grant project in collaboration with DSO to develop and establish a new technology platform for antimicrobial drug discovery, using a whole animal assay for high throughput screening. She was the project leader for the NMRC grant based TB drug discovery project responsible for target-based whole cell high throughput screen for inhibitors and activators of the mycobacterial caseinolytic protease (Clp) degradation complex. She was part of the highly successful SPRINT-TB international collaboration team and led the project for Theme-1 on whole cell High Throughput Screening for identification of novel anti-mycobacterial targets and later on for the NRF-grant based TOPNET program in collaboration with NTU and other international Universities. She also played important roles in various oncology drug discovery campaigns with diverse targets involving epigenetics, kinases and metabolic pathways.  She has been an invited as well as selected speaker in various international conferences and symposiums on Drug discovery.
