Since the early 1960s, the goldsmith and artist Georg Hornemann (b. 1940, Dessau; lives and works in D sseldorf) has developed his personal style and perfected the masterful use of his techniques and materials. His works have drawn inspiration from a wide range of stylistic sources; he has also looked to other arts for creative ideas he has implemented in his goldwork. The book presents Hornemann's early jewelry designs from the 1960s and 1970s, his fascinating ring creations, and his splendid work with gemstones--many of his confections look like tiny museum sculptures.
