Providing a variety of perspectives on the conceptualization of adult learning, "Culture and Processes of Adult Learning" combines the ideas of sociology, psychology, adult education and applied research into how adults experience learning.
The book addresses a range of significant issues, incorporating a number of major contributions to current debates about the purpose of adult learning and how best it may be developed: what are skills and how are they learned? What should be the content of learning programs for adults and who should decide? What are the implications for the quality of learning and the current emphasis on learning for and at work? How do adults learn from experience? In an attempt to answer these questions and others, "Culture and Processes of Adult Learning" discusses the outcomes of learning, both for the individual and the community.
