"Sustainable Urban Developments" examines the models of sustainable development and sets out the framework for analysing urban development and the sustainability issues this gives rise to. It examines the protocols (planning, property development, design, construction and operational activities) developed to address the issues and provides a directory of environmental assessment methods currently available. Environmental assessment methods are being transformed in the evaluation of the environmental, economic and social sustainability of urban development.
