Pierre Poitras, was professor of medicine and physiology at Université de Montreal. He devoted his medical academic career to fundamental as well as clinical research, pregraduate as well as graduate teaching, and clinical practice. He published the 1st French edition of his textbook The Digestive System: from basic to clinical sciences in 2014.
