TRAMA

Over the past decade, forensic psychology has grown rapidly as a subject. An increasing number of forensic psychologists train and work in demanding roles in prisons; secure training facilities; high, medium, and low security healthcare facilities; as well as other parts of the criminal justice system. Dictionary of Forensic Psychology is part of a new series of dictionaries covering key aspects of criminal justice and the criminal justice system, designed to meet the needs of both students and practitioners. It contains approximately 300 entries of between 500 and 1500 words on key terms and concepts arranged alphabetically, including entries contributed by leading academic and practicing forensic psychologists.

Graham Towl is Professor Psychology at Durham University. David Farrington is Professor of Psychological Criminology at the Institute of Criminology, Cambridge University. David A. Crighton is Deputy Head of Psychology for the Prisons and Probation Service (NOMS), and Visiting Professor atLondon Metropolitan University. Gareth Hughes is Head of Psychology at Kneesworth House Hospital in Royston, Hertfordshire.
