METROPOLEN is a cities project, created by Kristine Thiemann. It deals here with small towns that normally get little attention because they are in the shadow of major neighbouring cities. With irony and the help of the residents, she translates their routine of daily life into her own language and portrays, in an unusual manner, totally normal people in supposedly everyday situations, whereby she focuses on the trivialities.
