Maddie White has over 25 years of stoma care nursing experience and is currently Chair of ASCN UK as well as working as a Team leader with a team of 10 Clinical Nurse Specialists in a busy acute Trust in Birmingham, West Midlands. She is committed to developing roles within stoma care and providing robust evidence based support to nurses in order to enhance the stoma care nurses’s contribution to developing practice. She also writes articles and editorials for journals on a regular basis and proof read articles for publication relevant to her clinical remit. She enjoys presenting at various forums in order to share her knowledge and expertise. Angie Perrin has over 25 years of experience working within the specialist sphere of stoma care, colorectal nursing and ileo-anal pouch care. She worked as Lead Nurse for Stoma/Colorectal Nursing in a busy acute teaching hospital, managing a team of over 12 specialist nurses. She is now the Clinical Education Lead for Salts Healthcare, which incorporates the Salts Academy. At Salts Academy Angie initiates, develops and facilitates numerous education offerings, across a myriad of mediums providing high quality education to health care professionals globally. She is passionate about the speciality and completed her MSc thesis - Exploring the patients’ perception of their own quality of life following ileo-anal pouch formation. She has written numerous publications for professional journals, as well as presented to health care professionals, both nationally and internationally.
